Reclaiming the pipeline route
Coastal GasLink is completing important clean-up and reclamation work into operations.
The final step of construction is to reclaim the pipeline route. Great care is taken to ensure that equivalent land capability and biological diversity are maintained or re-established after construction.
Once complete, we still continue to monitor the area to assess the effectiveness of our reclamation program. If issues arise, remedial measures are planned and implemented in a timely manner.

What to expect throughout operations
Our pipeline safety programs are amongst the most robust in the industry and the most important part of our business. Our goal is to ensure that our pipelines operate safely every day and that the public, our employees and the environment are never negatively affected by an incident involving our assets.
Once in operation we conduct aerial patrols, geotechnical monitoring and in-line inspections using pipeline inspection gauges to monitor the condition of the pipe and ensure the reliable operations of our pipeline systems. Our pipelines and facilities are monitored 24 hours per day, 365 days a year, by our Operations Control Centre, using some of the world’s most sophisticated pipeline monitoring technology.
