Today our CEO, François Poirier, published an Op-ed in the National Post stressing the critical role LNG projects must play in shaping Canada’s energy future. He highlights the opportunity to position Canada as one of the global leaders in LNG exports, emphasizing that accelerating such projects is essential for economic sovereignty, energy security, and environmental progress.

By advancing initiatives like the Coastal GasLink expansion, Canada can meet international energy demands, create jobs and build economic prosperity at home while fostering energy security abroad and reducing global emissions by displacing coal-fired energy. However, outdated regulatory processes remain a significant hurdle, deterring investment and slowing progress. François calls for bold, decisive action to modernize regulations and ensure Canada can compete on the world stage while delivering both prosperity and sustainability.
